Nikon D70 with 10.5mm Nikkor Lens on Nodal Ninja 3.

    NIKKOR_AF-S_DX_10.5

The Nodal Point (entrance pupil) on the 10.5mm Nikkor Lens is approx 4mm behind the gold ring. It’s close enough that you can actually use the gold ring as the visual reference point.

Slide the vertical arm on the lower rail so the center portion of the lens is directly over the center of the lower rotator base.

This will line up with the 55mm marking on the lower rail.

    D70 w10_5_b

Swing the upper rail so it is 90 degrees to the vertical rail as shown.
Loosen and slide the camera on the upper rail arm so the gold ring is centered over the lower rotator base and or the center of the upper rotator base.

    upper rail setting1

The camera mount should be at the 80mm mark on the upper rail.
Note the gold ring on the 10.5mm Nikkor Lens should also be lined up with the upper rotator base.
